Angry fans of Kano Pillars attacked players and officials of Akwa Ibom
Football Club of Uyo after the match played at the Sani Abacha Stadium
on Sunday, April 9th.
Akwa United dominated the match with better tactical play and at the end
of end beat hosts Kano Pillars 1-0 on the match day 18 of the Nigerian
Professional Football League. However, some home fans were not happy
with the game's outcome.

Suicide bomber killed in University of Maiduguri
Troops in Borno state have killed a suicide bomber that
attempted to attack the University of Maiduguri yesterday night at about
11pm.
The sucide bomber who entered the institution through its back gate,
was killed at the Works department within the school's premises.
Military officers have cordoned off the area.

It was on a bright saturday afternoon, just hot like every other saturday. I was at a wedding reception of a friend with my husband and our three children. About an hour after our arrival, my son (18 years old) started feeling very uneasy and uncomfortable so we advised him to go outside and stay for a while so he can enjoy some fresh air and get better.

Their wedding was a very private one, with only 35 people in attendance. It held at the Amanjena - Luxury Resort in Marrakech, Morocco. Ishaya is said to be in his 30s, been married once to an Asian lady but they had no children. Big congrats to the couple.

Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Governor, has congratulated Efe Ejeba for emerging victorious at the just concluded Big Brother Naija Reality TV show. Okowa described Efe as a worthy ambassador of the state..
The governor noted that he wasn’t surprised Efe won the competition by 57 percent of votes cast because he was well behaved in the Big Brother house.
In a statement issued in Asaba on Sunday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, Governor Okowa lauded Efe for being a good ambassador of Delta State, adding that the State Government is proud to have supported talented Deltans to achieve their dreams.
“As a state we are very delighted that our son Efe won the #BBNaija competition. We are glad that he related very well with the house mates and survived all the evictions and avoided controversies in the house,” he said.He thanked the people of Delta State for making their votes count for Efe.
“He has portrayed the Delta character of being a true patriot and a worthy ambassador of the state.”
He noted that beyond the prize money, the 24-year-old displayed leadership traits that has distinguished him as a role model.

The Police said they both shot each other multiple times. The son was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn but was later was pronounced dead.
The father was also transported to the hospital in a critical condition.

They ordered him into his Prado jeep and then zoomed off with him.
Confirming the kidnap, the state police public relations officer, ASP Irene Ugbo, said the police is working to ensure he is rescued:
“We have received a complaint about the abduction of the Commissioner for Water Resources. He was kidnapped and taken away in his Prado Jeep today. We have deployed our men from the command and those from the intelligence department to all routes in the state with a view to releasing him. As we speak, all check points are thoroughly manned by our men to ensure that he is released safely,’’ he said.
